Former King Du Preez cited

Edinburgh loose forward Cornell du Preez and Connacht duo Kieran Marmion and Nathan White have been cited after the weekend's final round of the European Cup pool stages.

Du Preez, who played Super Rugby for the Southern Kings last year, is alleged to have struck Munster lock Paul O'Connell with the head during the first half of the Pool Six match at Thomond Park on Sunday.

Du Preez, who was shown a yellow card by referee Wayne Barnes (England), will appear at a hearing in Dublin on Thursday and faces a minimum four-week suspension if found guilty.

Scrumhalf Marmion is alleged to have struck Saracens replacement Neil de Kock in the second half of the Pool Three clash at Allianz Park on Saturday, while prop White was yellow carded by referee Leighton Hodges (Wales) after his boot made contact with the face of Brad Barritt.

Like Du Preez, Marmion faces a minimum four-week ban with White facing at least a two-week ban if found guilty in their hearings in Dublin on Thursday.
