Highlanders limp into Cape Town

Highlanders duo Patrick Osborne and Craig Millar have been ruled out of the game against the Stormers in Cape Town and will return to New Zealand.

Osborne, who started at left wing in the Highlanders' 34-18 victory over the Sharks on Friday, has aggrevated a previous ankle injury that he suffered against the Blues in Round Two.

The 26-year-old Fijian-born wing sat out for five weeks earlier in the season to rest his ankle and will now face more time on the sidelines.

Craig Millar came on as a replacement prop in the win in Durban but injured his shoulder and will return home.

Argentinian tighthead prop Matias Diaz has flown over to South Africa to provide front row cover.

Diaz has six caps for Argentina and joined the Highlanders at the beginning of the season, but has only played three times for the Dunedin-based side – all of his appearances being made off of the replacements bench.

Tighthead prop Chris King will play his 100th Super Rugby game for the Highlanders when they play the Stormers at Newlands on Saturday.

After reaching the milestone of 100 Super Rugby games in the 2013 season, King now cements himself in the Highlanders history books by notching up a century for the franchise.

A stalwart of the the region, King made his Highlanders debut in 2005 after playing for the Crusaders for 2003 and 2004.
