Hore to take final bow with Munster?

Retired All Blacks hooker has reportedly been approached by Irish side Munster to sign with them for the rest of the season.

The 35-year-old could not find a Super Rugby team for next season and said he planned to concentrate on working on his South Island farm, however he could be lured to Ireland by the chance to taste top level European rugby before he hangs up his boots.

According to the Daily Mail the Irish team, which is coached by Kiwi Rob Penney, are interested in Hore's services on a short term basis.

First-choice Munster hooker Mike Sherry has been cut down by a ruptured cruciate ligament, and a shaky line-out in recent weeks has convinced Penney to look for another solution.

Hore said on his return from the year-end tour that he will stay on the family farm and turn out for local club Maniototo in the Central Otago competition.

Munster currently top their European Cup pool with three wins from their four matches thus far, but they are resigned to losing the services of centre Casey Laulala at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old former All Black has made 37 appearances for the club since joining them in September of 2012, and said in a statement from the club he would be sad to leave.

"I have loved my time with Munster and there's a lot of rugby still to be played," said Laulala. "I want to achieve success with these guys and hope to continue to contribute in any way I can."
