Lions bolstered for Super Rugby
Flank Derick Minnie returns after a long injury lay-off while wing Ruan Combrink and centre Harold Vorster have also been added to the group after missing some Currie Cup action due to injury.
Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies, centre Lionel Mapoe, hooker Armand van der Merwe and Warrick Tecklenburg returns from overseas duty. All the Lions’ Currie Cup heroes, besides Albertus Smith – who is contracted for National Sevens duty – have been retained for Super Rugby
In addition to returning players, the Lions have been bolstered by scrumhalves Francois de Klerk and Dillon Smit, lock Robert Kruger and prop Corné Fourie – who are all full-blooded Lions now.
Pumas fullback JW Bell, is the only new face who is yet to don the Lions jersey.
