More good news for Scotland

Scotland have no serious injuries after their 34-10 Six Nations Championship victory over Italy at Murrayfield on Saturday.

Scotland team doctor James Robson reported: “Yesterday was no exception to the collision type injuries that are part and parcel of Test match rugby though, as you would expect, everyone is in good heart this morning.”

Centre Matt Scott (contusion to ribs/neck), flyhalf Ruaridh Jackson (shoulder bruising), scrumhalf Greig Laidlaw (dead leg) and loosehead prop Ryan Grant (significant hip bruising) will be subject to on-going care from the Scotland medical team though, at this juncture, none of the injuries is considered serious.

Dr Robson added: “As ever, there will be further evaluation over the next 24-48 hours, which you expect from the soft tissue trauma of a Six Nations encounter of yesterday’s magnitude.”
