Scarlets to leave it all on the Parc

Following a narrow victory over Edinburgh at last Saturday, Scarlets captain Rob McCusker says they’re ready to put in a big performance against league leaders Munster this weekend.

McCusker, who has been joined by co-captain Jonathan Davies in training this week as the international centre prepares to make a return to Scarlets action on Saturday, said: "We thought there was more in us than we showed against Edinburgh and we were all disappointed at the end of the game.

"We need another win to keep the pressure on the teams above us. We're conscious that we need the points and the performance and hopefully that will show come Saturday.”

Sitting comfortably on 57 points atop of the Pro12 table, with 13 victories from 15, Munster will be looking to continue their form at the Parc y Scarlets on the weekend and the Scarlets captain is fully aware of the challenge that lies ahead of the West Wales side.

He went on to say: "We put quite a lot of pressure on ourselves last weekend but were fortunate that we were able to get those early points back. We definitely won't be able to do that against the likes of Munster.

"They can compete and be a challenge for us whoever they bring on the weekend. There's no conscious effort on our part to underperform any week.

"We're focusing on what we can do, we need to take as many of the points available as we can.”
