Three-horse Euro race

England, Scotland and Wales are all bidding to host the 2014 European Cup and European Challenge Cup Finals.

France withdrew its application, the tournament organisers ERC announced on Thursday.

The French Rugby Federation pulled out two weeks ago because of uncertainty over the availability of the Stade de France.

Bidding to host the 19th European Cup Final are Twickenham (capacity 81,500), the Millennium Stadium (74,500) and Murrayfield (67,000), the ERC revealed.

"Other venues have been proposed for the European Challenge Cup Final," it added.

The ERC board hopes to announce a new host city before the end of the month.
