Voyce will go quiet
Former England wing Tom Voyce has decided to hang up his boots at the age of 32.
Voyce, who previously turned out for Bath, Wasps and Gloucester, spent last season with London Welsh, who were relegated from the Premiership.
He won nine caps during a career that hit its zenith in a six-year spell at Wasps.
The Londoners won the European Cup twice and the Premiership three times during that spell from 2003-2009, while Voyce also scored the fastest ever top-flight try in just 9.63 seconds against Harlequins in 2004.
He scored 66 tries in 220 Premiership matches, putting him fifth on the all-time try-scoring list.
Voyce began his professional career at Bath in 1997 and went on to make over 50 appearances for the club as well as receiving his first cap for England in the 2001 tour to North America.
In 2003 he moved to London Wasps where he became a first team regular and a huge hit with the fans. He played in 34 of Wasps 35 games in his first season at the club, scoring 15 tries along the way as Wasps won the Premiership and the European Cup Final.
In 2004, another fine season for Voyce, he scored the then quickest try in Premiership history (9.63 seconds against Harlequins), won a second Premiership title as well as added to his England caps on the mid-year tour of Australia and New Zealand.
In 2006 he won his first Anglo-Welsh Cup with Wasps as they defeated Llanelli Scarlets in the Final at Twickenham and his fine form led to his selection for the 2006 Six Nations as well as the England mid-year tour to Australia, where Voyce was to win the last of his nine caps for his country.
Further silverware followed in 2007, as Voyce won his second European Cup as Wasps defeated Leicester in the final and Voyce collected his third Premiership winner's medal in 2008 with Wasps again defeated their old foes Leicester. Voyce amassed 54 appearances in the European Cup, scoring 23 tries making him 8th equal on the list of all time European Cup try scorers.
2009 brought about the end of Tom's Wasps career as he moved to Gloucester. He had two successful seasons with the Cherry and Whites winning the Anglo-Welsh trophy before joining London Welsh in 2012 for one final Premiership season. His career has seen him become the eighth most capped Premiership player with 220 appearances as well as the 5th highest try scorer in Premiership history with 66 tries further demonstrating the outstanding contribution he has made to professional rugby in this country.
