Wallaby concern for Rebels

Melbourne Rebels flank Scott Higginbotham is in doubt for Saturday’s match against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein due to a shoulder injury.

Higginbotham left the field for the Rebels following a try in the 68th minute during the loss to the Sharks last weekend.

Rebels head coach, Damien Hill, said the Wallaby back row forward will be given every chance to prove his fitness.

"We are fortunate to have great depth in this position. Jordy Reid has been impressive in his limited game time and with Jarrod Saffy travelling with the squad,” he said.

"This is a huge game for this group of Rebels players and knowing Scott, he will be desperate to play and will be given every chance."

The team will be announced this Thursday with the decision to be made on Higginbotham at the team's Captain's Run in Bloemfontein.
