Year long ban for Stade dope

French rugby giants Stade Francais' fullback Djibril Camara was slapped with a year long ban on Monday for missing three doping tests in the past 18 months.

The 23-year-old – who like hundreds of top level French athletes has to furnish information to the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) of where he will be and when he is available for dope testing on a daily basis – was notified at the beginning of April of his missing a third dope test.

"Djibril Camara has been suspended for a year, with six months suspended, by the French Anti-Doping Agency because of three 'no shows' for testing," read an AFLD statement.

"He will be able to play again at the beginning of December."

Last year, France wing Yoann Huget was suspended for four months for a similar offence, though, while a lighter ban meant he had to miss the World Cup in New Zealand for which he had been selected.
