Toulouse hooker cited

Toulouse hooker Christopher Tolofua faces possible suspension after being shown red during Saturday’s European Cup clash with Treviso.

Tolofua is alleged to have carried out a dangerous tackle on replacement Fabio Semenzato in contravention of Law 10.4(j) during the second half of the match at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo.

He was shown a second yellow card, resulting in a red card, for the alleged dangerous tackle by referee Leighton Hodges.

Tolofua’s disciplinary hearing will be held in Dublin on Thursday and he will be ineligible to play until the disciplinary process is completed.

The independent Judicial Officer appointed to hear the citing complaint and the matter of the red card is Roger Morris.
