Schools Results for June 2
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: It rained in the Western Cape and the rain was heavy. It was upset weather.
Bishops nearly upset Boys’ High out at Paarl but up north, where it did not rain, the real upset occurred when Dr EG Jansen, beaten 82-14 by Transvalia a few weeks ago, turned the tables and beat Transvalia comfortably, it seems.
The biggest winners were Frikkie Meyer, just one short of a century against HTS Tom Naudé.
Craven Week is just over a month away and many are taking its approach seriously already. It’s no longer the free spirited, amateur tournament that Doc Craven envisaged.
