St Andrew’s vs Cambridge

In trying to play an expansive brand of rugby, College had a number of early chances which were not converted into points, as the ball was often lost in contact.

It was Cambridge who opened the scoring with a well-taken penalty before Cambridge scored a further try down the blind side to take a 10-0 lead.

College continued to have the upper hand in both territory and possession and were finally able to get on the scoreboard when Matt Royle picked up a loose ball to finish under the poles. This was converted by Murray Wilson and the Cambridge lead was only three points going into half-time.

The second half was again a tight affair and it took a moment of good skill from Nic Richardson, which was well finished by Mulima Mondoloka to see College move into the lead for the first time. A further try to Christian Dom saw the College XV run out eventual 19-10 winners.
