St John's Easter matches

St John's of Johannesburg will be holding their 18th REaster Festival this year. There will be primary schools and 1st XVs.

St John's of Harare are back again this year. The other foreign team is SGS Filton – South Gloucestershire and Stroud College from Bristol, which has a stroking rugby academy. They beat Millfield recently.

The two powerful South African teams, on last year's showing, are Paarl Boys' High and Waterkloof. Last year Boishaai ended top of the FNB Top 20 and Waterkloof sixth. That means that last year they were right at the top of South African schools' teams. Nelspruit were also there or thereabouts.

The Golden Lions have sent their XV along as they do each year. Instead of a combined side from the Western Cape New Orleans of Paarl will be playing on their own.

The preparatory sides will play mostly on the while the 1st XVs will play all matches on the Burger Field, looking up the dramatic koppie to the stone classrooms above. It's a wonderful venue.
