Bye week brings no relief for Bulls

Hooker Jaco Visagie will undergo surgery later this week to repair cartilage damage to his shoulder.

He is expected to be out for six weeks.

Centre Dries Swanepoel underwent surgery in Monday to repair his Achilles tendon – which has been bothering him.

He is expected to be out for six to eight weeks.

Unfortunately wing Jamba Ulengo will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

He should be fit for the start of next season.

Midfielder Burger Odendaal and utility back Johnny Kotze have recovered fully from their injuries and will return to practice on Tuesday.

Players on the short term injury list include scrumhalf Piet van Zyl (concussion), lock Irne Herbst (knee), wing Travis Ismaiel and loose forward Roelof Smit (knee).

All four players should return to practice next week.

Players on the long term injury list include loose forward Shaun Adendorff, utility forward Abongile Nonkontwana (fractured hand), lock Eli Snyman (ankle), loose forward Ruan Steenkamp, hooker Corniel Els, lock Hendre Stassen and loose forward Hanro Liebenberg.
