Lengthy lay-off for Van der Walt

Van der Walt is expected to be out of action for between six to eight months and joins a growing injury list for the Nelspruit side.

Hugo Kloppers is sitting out training with a shoulder contusion, but will be ready for limited contact later in the week.

Prop Khwezi Mona has a minor ankle sprain and will have a clearance test later on Monday. 

In other injury news, centre Hennie Skorbinski has been directed not to run and will have an evaluation for his hamstring strain on Monday, while wing JP Lewis is doing limited training while being evaluated for his hamstring injury. 

The Pumas will face the Blue Bulls in their crunch encounter at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
