Manuel plans 'running of the ruthless Bulls'

However, he first has to ensure the players are able to remain composed and make the right decisions on the field.

The Bulls outscored the Pumas by six tries to one in their 41-13 victory last week.

However, Manuel believes the Bulls are still not converting all their opportunities into points.

The 'running of the Bulls' evolution will continue when the Pretoria outfit plays Griquas in Pretoria on Friday.

"It's all decision making," Manuel said.Manuel plans 'running of the ruthless Bulls'

"I think the players' ability just to control their tension and to make sure that they sum up the situation and from there make the right decision.

"I think that's always something you can work on and that you can be better on, so we worked on it this week with the hope that the decisions will be better on Friday.

"I think there's a better understanding of what we want to achieve, in terms of the way we want to play and the role which each player has, within that team and in the attacking picture, so hopefully the result will be there this weekend," the Bulls' assistant said.

Manuel added that the Bulls' goal for this week is to play with the same attacking flair which they showed against the Pumas, but this time, he wants his team to be ruthless with the ball in hand.

"It's about having the capacity to absorb the pressure and make sure that you make the right decisions," he said.

"I think, especially if you are a young player, the pressure sometimes gets too much and then from there we make the wrong decisions.

"It's about making sure that the mental conditioning, which is part of the skill-set is, in place, so the player can make the right decisions in the right scenario. We are hoping for a good one this weekend.

"We want to add a bit of purpose to what we want to achieve and it's important for every player to have an understanding of what we want to achieve.

"On what we saw against the Pumas was a bit of intent, there was energy, so with those two things, the technical stuff and tactical stuff in place, I will be very happy," explained Manuel.

The Bulls come into this match in third place on the Currie Cup table, with 20 points from six matches, which includes four wins.

Griquas are not far off the pace – in the fourth position, with 19 points from five games, which also includes four wins.

Both teams know how important this match is and with only one point separating the two teams at the moment, it is all to play for in Pretoria on Friday.
