South joined the Harlequins Academy for the 2014/15 season from Whitgift School and made his debut for the club against Gloucester Rugby in February 2015.
The second row made eight further appearances in the 2016/17 season – across the Premiership, European Rugby Challenge Cup and Anglo-Welsh Cup – and started for Harlequins against the Maori All Blacks in the historic 150th Anniversary Challenge Match in November 2016.
An athletic and versatile forward, the 21-year-old has also represented his country at U18 and U20 level; winning the U20 World Cup final in 2016.
Confirming his re-signing, South said: "I'm extremely excited to extend my time at Harlequins.
"I'm really looking forward to working with the talented group of players and coaches we have here and pushing on over the next couple of seasons,"
Harlequins Director of Rugby, John Kingston, added: "Stan is another quality addition to our Senior Squad, who has come out of our Academy.
"He has seamlessly made the transition and I have no doubt he will be pressing the current incumbents very hard for a starting position at lock in the very near future. His ability to also play back row, is an illustration of his mobility and athleticism,"
