Blommetjies gets No.10 jersey for Ulster clash

The Cheetahs will become the first Southern Hemisphere side ever to take part in the Pro14 championship.

Blommetjies, who normally plays at fullback, will be tasked with getting the Cheetahs' attack going against a side featuring big names like Christian Lealiifano, Andrew Trimble, Charles Piutau, Jean Deysel and Marcell Coetzee.

Sergeal Petersen will wear the No.15 jersey in a back three which also features Rosko Specman and Makazole Mapimpi.

William Small-Smith and Ali Mgijima will combine in the midfield. 

The Cheetahs' starting front row for this historic match will consist of Johan Coetzee, Jacques du Toit and Charles Marais. Daniel Hugo and Justin Basson are in the second row.

"The Cheetahs players are extremely excited to join this world class championship," said Cheetahs captain Neill Jordaan, who will play alongside Henco Venter and Paul Schoeman in the back row.

Pro14 will for the first time play under the new Conference format which sees each team play home and away against clubs in their own Conference and then home or away against the other Conference before two more rounds that ensure all derby games are played, which formed an important part the competition up till now.
