Ireland star set for Racing move

If the Munster second row does head to Top 14 champions Racing at the end of the season, he will be rejoining former provincial and Test teammate Ronan O'Gara, now a coach with the Paris club.

Ryan has been a Munster mainstay for 13 years and won his 47th Test cap as Ireland denied Six Nations champions England a second straight Grand Slam with a 13-9 win at Dublin's Lansdowne Road last weekend.

Should the 33-year-old Ryan join Racing, he will likely be ending his Test career given Ireland coach Joe Schmidt's refusal to select overseas-based players for international duty.

News of Ryan's possible departure came just days after fellow Munster lock Dave Foley confirmed he was leaving to join another French club in Pau.

Munster will welcome French giants Toulouse to their Thomond Park ground in Limerick for a European Champions Cup quarterfinal on Saturday, April 1.
