The side take on Cheetahs this Saturday and will head to Bloemfontein later this week.

According to a statement released by Leinster, Healy was asked to exit the flight after he refused to shut down the laptop.

"Leinster Rugby can confirm that Cian Healy was asked to leave yesterday afternoon's flight from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town," the statement read.

"The issue related to a misunderstanding around the use of a laptop during the approach to take off.

"Cian disembarked the plane and took the next available flight to Cape Town with the same airline.

"Cian apologised sincerely to all concerned at the time for any inconvenience caused,"

This is not the first speedbump the Irish club have experienced on their first trip to South Africa.

Last week, two of Leinster's New Zealanders Isa Nacewa and Jamison Gibson-Park were denied entry to South Africa after their encountered "visa issues" at Johannesburg's OR Tambo airport on Wednesday and had to return to Dublin.

The club later released a statement taking full responsibility for the situation and  stated that is was "clearly an administrative oversight on [their] part and a valuable lesson has been learned,"
