Wallabies expect 'brutal' onslaught

Seasoned lock Adam Coleman spoke of the need for "physicality", in both attack and defence – when Australia take on South Africa in a Rugby Championship encounter.

He spoke of the 'hurt' that will drive the Boks after their record (0-57) loss to the All Blacks in Albany and said they are still a 'very good' side

"One rainy day doesn't make it winter for them," the lock said.Wallabies expect 'brutal' onslaught

Physicality, he said, is one area where the Wallabies waned against the Springboks in the 23-all draw in Perth almost three weeks.

Coleman said there will also be an increased emphasis on cleaning up the work at the breakdown in Bloemfontein.

"Yeah, I think in the first half of that game [in Perth] we struggled to identify and I suppose, our intent at the breakdown wasn't there," Coleman said.

"In the second half we cleared that up a lot better and that's something we have been working on, even in our previous game – our breakdown work.

"The Boks are a very physical side, they're going to have a huge presence at the breakdown and around the field.

"South Africa is set piece and physicality and they do that very well."

Utility back Reece Hodge sang from the same hymn book, saying patience will be key.

"We were definitely in the box seat for a lot of the game [in Perth] and probably just got a bit frustrated," he said, adding: "[it was a We] needed to score every time we were down in their half sort of thing.

"Definitely patience is something that came out of that game last year and definitely taking our chances because we definitely created enough but they took theirs a lot better in that game."
