AUDIO: Hardly any positives for Sharks

The Sharks produced an uninspired and error-ridden performance at GIO Stadium as they slumped to their second defeat of the season.

So far, the only win for the Sharks in this year's tournament was against an injury-plagued Sunwolves side in Round Four.

"We are obviously very disappointed, but we hung in there right to the death," Du Preez told reporters after the match.  "That is the only positive for me at this stage.

"We could have drawn then game, but we are not happy with that performance."

The Sharks struggled to find any rhythm in their game and their discipline will also be a worry for the coaching team.

"I think we really battled to get into the game, especially in the first half.

"We didn't start well. We didn't have any possession in the first half and very little territory and then our discilpine let us down early on.

"I think we gave away three penalties in the first seven minutes," Du Preez added.

The Sharks head to Melbourne next to face the Rebels in Round Six.

They will finish their Australasian tour in New Zealand with matches against the Blues and the Hurricanes.
