Liebenberg set for lengthy lay-off

Liebenberg was one of a number of casualties in the Round 14 clash played at Loftus Versfeld. However, the 21-year-old's injury is definitely on the serious side.

"Hanro [Liebenberg] is not good – Hanro is bad," said Marais. "He went to hospital for x-rays. It might be a broken ankle or syndesmosis, so it is not going to be good."

Backline players Warrick Gelant and his replacement Ulrich Beyers also had to leave the field during the match because of injuries.

"Warrick's knee is not good. He couldn't run so we put Ulrich on.

"Ulrich was on for 20 seconds and he pulled something, so we had to put Tian [Schoeman] at fullback," Marais added.

The physical encounter against the Hurricanes also resulted in a few concussed players as well.

Both Jannes Kirsten and Jacobie Adriaanse had to leave the field due to concussion.
