Treu, who was in charge of the Stormers' defence since 2015, will now be in charge of the side's structured play.

Feeney, who is the team's skills coach, is now in charge of unstructured play.

"For this season I will be doing the set-piece attack, which will be up until three phases. I will also be doing the set-piece defence, which will only be for the first phase," Treu explained.

"For the unstructured part in attack and defence, Paul Feeney will be responsible for that."

Treu said he is perfectly suited for his new attacking role.

"I think that is the advantage because doing it [defence coaching] for the past three years you are analysing all the attacking plays of all the other teams. You understand their attacking intent.

"Now that I am doing both I can reverse the roles as well because we need to stop their attacking play and we want to exploit their defensive set-ups. I hope it is something that will benefit the team going forward," he added.
